The Data Protection Act 1998 gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them, and what that information is used for.
This course provides employees with a introduction to the following:

Key Learning Outcomes
- Describe what the DPA is, what "personal data" is, and what "data processing" comprises.
- Explain an individual's rights in respect of personal data and its processing.
- Explain how an individual can make a 'subject access' request.
- Describe what they must not do with data, and what the consequences might be of breaching the Act.
